Ending the year together with GEALAN management and staff at the annual Christmas party is a sacred tradition at GEALAN.
The GEALAN Band’s interpretation of “Merry Christmas Everybody” was the musical bridge to the opening words of Managing Director Thomas Fickenscher.
Over 350 active and former employees accepted the invitation to the 29th traditional GEALAN Christmas party in the festively decorated ATSV Oberkotzau hall.
“Why are you here today?”
The Managing Director opened his speech with these words; the answer followed promptly: “Most of you come to mark the end of the year, reflect for a brief moment and think about all that we have achieved together.”
Incredible performance in 2017
Thomas Fickenscher reflected on the developments in 2017, spoke of the countless investments at all of the company’s locations and talked about the many newly hired employees. Finally, he honoured each and every department, stressing how important the work of every single colleague was in making this year such a successful one.
“We will continue to grow. There are many new projects. We have sown so much; now it is time to reap.” GEALAN predicts eight million in revenue growth in 2018, and between eight and ten million in 2019.
“Traditions are important to us”
Thomas Fickenscher emphasized. His talked about how his father also loved organizing Christmas parties and added that this too was one of the reasons why he finds these festivities so important. Next year will be the 30th celebration of this kind.
“Traditions are important in this fast-paced age. I wish you all a Merry Christmas, a relaxing holiday season and a great start to a Happy New Year in 2018.”
Recognizing employees with anniversaries is yet another time-honoured tradition: This year twelve employees celebrated ten years with the company and eight celebrated 20 years.
